From hoists to process cranes
The Cranes Business Unit designs and implements overhead, area-serving transport solutions tailored to meet individual customer needs using its products. With standard cranes up to 80 t load capacity and 115 ft. spans for cost-effective general industrial applications, and process cranes which automate and interlink production processes autonomously or in installations and systems are available. In addition, material flow and information systems ensure that key production, assembly and storage areas are served with the correct quantities of material on time.
Due to the complexity of logistics processes, there will be no alternative to cranes and materials handling systems in many sectors of industry in future, either. Companies primarily invest in crane systems in order to achieve lasting improvements in in-house processes and, therefore, greater efficiency and productivity. For this reason, Demag offers standard cranes that are made of largely standardized modules as entry-level solutions for crane applications. These range from simple workshop cranes to fully automatic process cranes. In addition, extended standard cranes provide tailored solutions that go far beyond the already wide range of standard designs. System solutions are also tailored to meet the needs of specific industries, to ensure that the customer can concentrate on the optimum solution for his particular application.
