Overhung cranes
Cranes don't always have the access a manufacturing process requires, therefore Demag offers bridge overhangs of up to 2.5m (8.2 ft) beyond the runway made possible by utilizing the KBK-Ergo components. This type of arrangement is useful for moving loads located below obstructions like ductwork, radiant heaters, piping, or other structural interferences.
Extending cranes
Occasionally access is required underneath an obstruction but you also have to contend with a support column or pillar. The solution is to use an extending crane. The KBK- Classic and Ergo style extending cranes allow for an additional bridge to be suspended from the main girder and extend out in one or both directions beyond the runway.
